Dark Space Where Things Cannot Be Put, 2021

Dark Space Where Things Cannot Be Put is the first solo exhibition by Ana Torfs in Latin America, housed by the MUAC, given its critical vocation of alluding to proposals that confront us with our present. Through Torfs’s work, language and its constructive nature converge: from etymological ruminations, to the same act of perceptual estrangement natural to language—the otherness it enables. This publication delves into the conceptual universe of the artist, following incantations, paths, musings and pantomimes that are, by themselves, a cultural history and a history of the words and ideas that we tell ourselves.
